About Lee Floyd

Partner at Breit Biniazan

In 2024, Lee became the first woman in the country to obtain a nine-figure verdict in a sexual abuse case. As trial counsel in the groundbreaking Bellwether case against Cumberland Hospital, Lee represented three girls that were sexually abused during their extensive hospital stays, ultimately obtaining a jury verdict of $360 million. In addition to her national sex abuse practice, Lee specializes in high-stakes mass tort litigation. Lee is routinely appointed by judges across the county to leadership roles in mass tort and class action litigations, currently serving in leadership in the Paragard MDL, Hair Relaxer MDL, Suboxone MDL and numerous data breach class actions. Prior to joining Breit Biniazan, spent a decade defending global corporations, from pharmaceutical companies to automotive manufacturers. During her time as a defense lawyer, she was an equity member at Butler Snow, where she was elected as the youngest partner in that firm’s history.

Lee frequently speaks nationwide on the changing landscape of mass tort and multiclaimant litigation. Among her accolades, in 2019, Lee was named as a Future Leader by the prestigious Products Liability Advisory Council as one of only ten lawyers nationwide to receive this honor. Benchmark Litigation has nationally recognized her expertise, naming her the only attorney in Virginia on its “40 and Under Hot List” for seven consecutive years.
